yeah a water bottle is better than a bowl, the few times I've had to use a bowl (when a bottle broke and I was in between replacing it) the hams tend to kick sawdust into it overnight and they're left without water
Thanks m8 ;D

one little toy I have for sherlock is a treat toy, it has a hamster head and a weight in the bottom so it wobbles and jingles, you can hide food and your hamster can find it. Sherlock loves his...I've lost count how many times I've caught him attacking it. He has a rush ball he loves too, good for chewing. he has a few other toys but these are his favourites. They are cheap too, the ball was 99p and the treat toy was about £2.x

One minor note about the hammock - Check it daily for chewing. Even if you've had it six months I'd keep checking daily.
Our robo girls recently went a bit mental and went from climbing on the hammock to eating as much as they could in the space of a single night, so I think checking daily is really handy. I had checked it the night before, but then we suddenly had three or four holes appear, two of which were quite big lol

They're great, but some hams chew them and then they're best taken away. We use them in two cages at the moment though (for our syrian and our male robo) and they're great if the hamster doesn't try and eat them lol

Other than that minor warning, I think all sounds great

My Batmans another that isn't keen on toys, he barely touches his wheel for a start
His favourite thing is the wooden peg attached to the bars
