Default how to resist temptation?

So, I'm moving out of my parents house this week. The new flat is really nice...and spacious.
I was thinking last night about all that space. And then "accidentally" looked at syrian hams that need homes on gumtree...and then "accidentally" found a zz2 in driving distance...and I keep telling myself that rescuing a ham is a good idea.
However, I feel that i wouldnt be able to spend as much time with Mufasa and Darcy and that would make me feel well guilty - especially the first few weeks where i would have to prioritise taming!

How to resist temptation?!

just have to remind yourself of the hams you have and that you would have to sacrifice some of their happiness and the small amount of time you have with them to have another hamster now. or give up some other time consuming thing to have more time for another ham.

yeah, just keep telling yourself you already own the two you have and your first priority has to be them, its hard, i just had to turn down a ham that so badly needed rescuing, but you can resist.

Buy a tone of new things for your current hams that always helps me! Buy enough toys that you need to buy a storage box to keep some of the older ones in an swap them around every few weeks, that way the storage box takes up the space and you are too busy enjoying your hams playing with something new to think about another hammie.

Just keep reminding yourself that you need to put your hamsters first! =) If there is anyway you can sacrifice something else which you could then replace with time with the new hammy?

I tend to devote an entire night to making a huge fuss of our lot. Give them a nice treat each, let Scamp roam my clothing to her hearts content (don't ask me why but that girl loves clothing lol), give Whizz all the run-time she could want... Same goes for everyone else and their favourite things. Takes hours but is really nice and completely takes away the desire to rescue whoever I've fallen in love with.
Now we've done that reguarly anyway so I'm genuinely happy with our lot and don't want more at all. Even my future dream hams will be exactly that - a fair few years away and future hams only lol
I do still avoid the sob-story ads though because I know if the right one came along I'd take days to talk myself out of it and feel guilty for ages.
