Hey everyone!

To anyone who didn't see the "Taming a 4 month recue hamster" and "Belated hello" threads (which is probably most people on here), I got a new hamster the other day. His names Hercule, he's a 4 month old rescue (by rescue I mean nobody bought him ) and I've had him three days today.

He's a lot harder to tame than any other hamster I've owned, but I'm getting there I think. Earlier, he ate some carrot out of my hand. Doesn't sound like much, but considering he flinches and hides whenever you open the cage, it feels like a step forward, aha. xD

Anyway, because he took the carrot and ate it, I got a chance to take literally, a couple of photos and he basically looks the same in both, but whatever, he looks equally adorable in both so I'll put them both up.





Seriously can't believe nobody bought him. He's adorable!
Hope to get more photos if I can ever coerce him into being tame.

P.s look closely, it's definitely not the same picture twice, lol.

i'n in the middle of taming myself aswell, i got Fawkes (a wee syrian baby) on sunday and he's (as predicted) skittish like Hercule as well. So good luck in taming your wee ham

Oh he is just lovely, I have a shy little man too, and I think he's going to stay that way. It looks like Hercule is progressing well already, I'm sure as he settles in and knows you bring the treats you'll be friends in no time!

aww he's adorable, sounds like my dwarf Storm with the way he'll flinch and run away at the slightest thing, but I've had him since September and he's still the same! glad you're making progress
