Operation: Fleece Tent - a success!

Made one for Isabel yesterday!



She loves hanging out in foldy fleece blankets or my large puffy comforter when she's out. She'll find some cozy spot deep in the folds and get all sleepy. I tell her "you can't stay here or I'll have to wait for you to wake up for a long time!" She just looks at me with those sleepy triangular eyes like "nooo I want to stay pleeeease". Anyway, I couldn't take it anymore and went out to find an old fleece jacket in brown. I succeeded!

The tent came out pretty well, just probably need to make the front flap a bit longer.

Put a peanut into it and put her in. Well, what do you know, she didn't come out! For HOURS! She actually slept in it all last night, and tonight she ran into it again and has been sitting in it. The photo is from tonight.

Also happy that Dora's sand area came out to her liking. Two things right, both from yesterday!

Its suprising how hamsters like the comfort of fabric, always catching Batman having a nap on his hammock

I think it might be the comfort of warm fuzzy feeling, akin to feeling another ham against her side or maybe even a memory of her mother and her litter. Since she doesn't have anyone to snuggle with, a fleece tent is probably a close second. That's my thought.
