Default Poppy

Hi Everyone,

Friday night and Poppy made a mid for escape, our front room must look like an adventure playground to her. I put her in her ball yesterday (the ball well taped up, safely) whilst I cleaned her out. I tried to put her in her ball last night about 8pm but she was having none of it. This morning while we are getting ready to go to work (its not really a good time to play with Poppy) she is desperate to get out and avidly chewing on the bars, which i know long term is not good and a habit that i would like her to get out of. I altered the cage round and swapped some of her toys which distracted her for a short time but then reverted back to the chewing. Ideally Poppy playtime would be in the evening when we have time to interact with her and i hope this is the right thing to do but i'm going to try and coax her out in the evening and i'm also going to put the tubes back in. My main concern is the chewing and also she bit me last night when i tried to interact with her, i need to get her out of the biting cycle.

Love Jane x

The easiest ways are to block the bars off, put her in a bar free cage for a while, or buy puppy anti-gnaw spray and use that.
This is the thread where I asked a question about our syrian and her bar chewing, I recieved a lot of good advice and updated it with the outcomes and what we were doing e.t.c afterwards too
