Default Review: Trixie Digging Tower (syrian)

I thought I'd do a review for this as I ummed and ahhed for a very long time about buying it - it seemed like hamster marmite

Purchased from Zooplus for £9.99 - I'd say it was worth it. (Burrow & Play Tower Diggy at zooplus)
It's reasonably well put together....the nature of twigs means my ladder is a little bent and thus wobbly, but easily remedied. However, it is too steep to walk down, so I ended up putting her Leif house next to and resting the ladder on top.
Also the perspex sides are sufficiently strong and don't bend when pushed against. The exit at the bottom is designed to stop bedding going everywhere and it actually works! Not a single shred of carefresh stuck to my carpet!

Here it is in the flesh:

The holes are bigger than expected - round one on top is the same size as a Wilko's floor ball entrance and the semi-circular exit at the bottom is half this. I think most syrians could fit out of the bottom as it's wide (and hams can squash themselves rather flat :P)

Olive gave it a whirl and took to it A LOT faster than I expected (even without food buried as a bribe )

"I'm going in mum!" (spot the hammy bottom):

The disappearing bottom was followed by a lot of this:

And eventually this (spot the monkey nut):

I definitely wasn't sure about it because Olive isn't much of a digger but now I think it was a very good purchase

Buttons isn't much of a digger either (apart from with sand) but maybe I should give it a go!
Such cute picture! =)

Thank you for reviewing! I have been eyeing this too. In your opinion, how would it be for a couple of robos that like digging? Too much size wise? Or not too deep?

Oh no - I think they'd love it. If anything Olive was annoyed when she hit the bottom too soon and started digging. I think robos would have a field day in the big one. The exit at the bottom spans almost the full width of the side too so they wouldn't have trouble finding their way out the first time.
The only thing is...now I've seen a robo in the flesh and realised they're TINY () I doubt the ladder would be any good for them but it'd be easy to cobble together something else.
