Classical Music.
There has been talk on some other sites and youtube that hamsters like to listen to classical music? I tried it with my last hamster but I didnt see any difference in mood.
Just wondering has anyone else tried this classical music and have you experienced anything new?
One of my girlfriends friends said she has taught her 2 hamsters to dance.

Re: Classical Music.
I haven't heard of hamsters having much interest in music although some of ours have always come out to listen to my daughter practice her flute. I think this is just because it is a 'different' noise. Hamsters don't have human emotions so I don't think they appreciate music in any form.
Dancing again is likely just her teasing them to stand up with a treat.

So did my last Hamster when my girlfriend played the Flute. But after that she never came out when she heard it. It possibly was just because they heard a new noise and wanted to check it out.

Re: Classical Music.
Sen stands stalk still when I play 8-bit video game music (sometimes ) - I first noticed it with Tetris. That's always going to be her song, although I think souffle is right, it's just a different noise. Sen also likes bags rustling... unless it is a form of sound patterns that is the equivalent of a new "hamster tunez"! Haha!

Re: Classical Music.
There is only one sound that Greyjoy loves... the rattle of his treat bag and no matter if he is sleeping, running or even already eating he will run to the cage bars and wait. He got very very confused with all the rustling paper on xmas morning and was there waiting for his treat. They just sleep through any music we play in the room though.

Re: Classical Music.
When pearl was in her final days, we tried to make her comfortable and soothe her as she was getting agitated alot, and i found classical music in the background really calmed her down, actually.
on the other hand, Sapphire sleeps through everything and doesn't really give a toss about any noises, even the fireworks the other day she ignored!
