maybe try gluing a metal washer around the hole where the water bottle is? that way she won't be able to chew it.

hmm not sure what to suggest about the lid and the wheel though sorry :s

I meshed the lid of my ZZ2 underneath the bars instead of on top to ensure it would close properly. I was initially worried about sharp edges if the mesh was inside the cage, but in fact the lid overlaps the perspex enough that the corners of the mesh aren't accessible to Magic. It's still not completely easy to get it to close - I have to slide it as far back as it will go, then ease it forward underneath the 'crenellated' bits, but it does close alright.

I can post a photo of it if it helps. The mesh came from Wickes' garden section and the cable ties from their electrical department. I bought tin shears to cut the mesh but in the end it was actually easier with my kitchen scissors as the blades of the shears were a bit too chunky to get a clean edge.

If she is chewing a wooden wheel I wouldn't worry too much - it will keep her teeth down! But if it's a plastic one I would replace it with a wooden version.

Can you give her a bit more time in a secure playpen or bath tub with tubes, boxes etc maybe, to burn off the excess energy?

Here are some photos of my ZZ2 lid which might help. I am the world's most cack-handed person and it took me about an hour to do this (I did scratch my hands a few times) so it wasn't a big job, the ragged edges aren't accessible to Magic and I think it looks pretty good. Hope it's helpful anyway.
