Hrrrm, maybe just go for PVA glue? It's kids glue and non-toxic. Would be fine if your hammie ate some, it never killed me....not that I ever ate any as a kid...

I've seen Elmer's Glue recommended many times.

I think PVA is fine. They use it in most schools with children and undoubtably some gets eaten (by Eleanor )
I've used it on my homemade things and my hammies are fine. Most of the glue isn't normally accessible for them to eat anyway I find.

Just a thought. Things are usually marked as unsuitable for under 3s because they have small components that could be swallowed. Maybe the glue containers have small caps and that's the issue rather than the glue being toxic?

No :'( I felt very stupid after and the teacher wasn't too pleased.

As Lougarry has said, it could be under threes because it has small pieces or maybe cos it's so damn messy? I wouldn't give my little brother liquid glue, he would get it EVERYWHERE
