Need to contact ECF urgently!!
no one manning phones and dont think email will be answered in time.
they usually send replacement bases for charlies cage whenever she chews through them, but going on hols friday, so shes going to a friends TMOROW and just realised base needs replacing, it has a hole she can escape!!!!
how can i contact them NOW?

just found out they are closed till 24th stock take!!!!!!!!!!
what is hammy proof to block the holes?

Yes, I rang them on monday and they were very busy stocktaking. I think they're out of a lot of stock too until 1st December. The lady told me they've no Ruffy2's in stock until then. Also, they're out of stock at the moment of the cage I've returned, Igor whatever it is.

Is the hole in the side? could you not put something heavy it front of it that couldn't be pushed out of the way....like bricks?

I know they are not ideal, but as a last resort, if you're not going away for too long, you could buy and a smaller cage or a storage box?

linford, was it you who had issues with a chewed cage base before? Did ECF say they would replace evry base they gave you that got chewed? I can`t remember? I don`t know if they will keep replacing bases due to a hamster chewing it? Not sure on that one, but if it is a defect, then they should do.

If she keeps chewing through the same cages base then I'd move her.

hum darling where are you in the uk?
Cause I got a spare cage here in cardiff.
Its a zoozone 1 all meshed up ready to go.

Tbh, I'd just buy a tank. It's unfair to expect a store to keep replacing bases that your hamster has chewed. Plus, she could ingest the plastic and hurt herself. I think it's the safest and best option.
