Our pets at home our about as much use as a chocolate teapot, i may pop up and nose around at the bigger one,

I hope you find yourself a chinese You could call ahead to your nearby pet shops to see if any should warrant a visit.

Wanda, try looking at some free-ad websites like Gumtree, Ad-Trader, Pets Classifieds etc... as sometimes a few Chinese hamsters will be on those. It depends how within reach they are to your location though.

Rescue centres sometimes have one or two, but it`s unlikely unless you are lucky and your local RSPCA happens to have one in for rehoming. Pets At Home adoption centre isn`t a bad thing. Look on it as getting the hamster out of there and into a home that will care well for it.

The males have the `baggage` at the back end! The females don`t. Both are great as pets. x
