Damn, now I wish I'd ordered some last night before they changed the price back!
I hope Laura receives the food at the price it was advertised at last night and her order isn't cancelled.

And you're right, there is nothing they can do. They must sell it at the price that was advertised at the time of sale. So looks like Laura has a hell of a bargain.

They are trying to cop out of selling it to me as it was a mistake they want £24 EACH and I ordered two, not pay £50 for hamster food thats nearly a whole fornights money to me, I am currently talking to a a amazon rep about my rights.

I believe they are duty bound to sell it at the price it was at the time of the transaction. It's their mistake, not yours. I'm going to have a look through Trading Standards, see what they say.

Hmmm, seems things are slightly different online than with high street. This is taken from Amazon, I know you went through the Marketplace, but I assume the same thing applies to that.

When you place an order to purchase a product from Amazon.co.uk, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you that we've dispatched that product to you (the "Dispatch Confirmation E-mail"). That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to you. Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed in a Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to have been dispatched do not form part of that contract.

They are coping out god I am annoyed being so short of money I could have really really used that.....

Whereas it seems they aren't legally bound to ship the order to you at the price, if they had decent Customer Service they would honour it.

Such a shame, it did seem too good to be true.

yeah well they sent a e-mail copping out so fast I highly doubt it, I was polite in my response and told them I wanted what I paid for at the time not at the new price they were demanding and asked them to pay more attention in future so people weren't disappointed and upset in future.

is there anyway to delete the link in first post?

well they demanded full price or I could cancel contacted amazon who said I basically had np rights, trying to get it canceled but seller is stalling and messing me around never buying pet stuff from amazon again.

Sadly that's right, apparently accepting the order isn't enough online, the contract is only when they despatch (unlike in a shop, where once the cashier has said "yes" to a price and put it in the till they have to honour it). Shame
