I have been trying to get my robo girls ready to potentially be reintroduced into one cage again. Since I am pulling an all nighter tonight studying for exams it's the perfect night to take quick breaks to bond with my hams
This time I put Astrid and Pica into a playpen on neutral ground instead of my lap/bed with no toys or objects that smell like either one. (they were inches from me and have had very sucessful interactions previously...)
Astrid approached Pica for a sniff, and they immediately began to box eachother and wrestle. It happened so quickly I'm not sure who started it. I thought perhaps since they're on neutral ground instead of my lap they are wrestling for dominance or as a sibling rivalry sort of thing and tried to resist separating them
immediately.
But then I heard a squeak, and I immeadiately scooped up Pica and gave her a thorough look over before putting her back in her cage so I could check Astrid.
So disapointing...
they were doing so good earlier in the week... I know hamsters who live together will wrestle for dominance and occasional spats, but I'm not sure where to draw the line.
I just want them to be happy again, but they're tiny little robos, I'm afraid they'll break each other!
Tonight just isn't my night!
