I miss having a cuddly hamster...

Since Buzz's passing I miss having a hamster I can take out, that doesn't mind just sitting on me, grooming and doing other hamster things. Tallinn, as some may know, really isn't much like that, usually when he is out, he just wants to get away and be by himself. He's never been a tame one. Not cuddly at all.

I was kind of thinking of taking a leave from rodents, for a small while at least though, due to all the passings I had of them suddenly, from what could have been my mistake.

Meh, just some thinkings I needed to get out. I suppose I'll just see what happens.

I think maybe you are ready for another ham

. Don't punish yourself any more over what happened in the past - you clearly didn't mean for it to happen and were happy to own four rodents.

It is so horrible when a you've had really cuddly hams and they move on. As you get so much from owning them, and really do have so much to give to a ham that needs a loving home, I really wouldn't give up yet. There's probably a little pink nose and little pink feet already out there waiting for you xx

Oh yes, I feel if I decide to get another, I am ready for one, as I am one of the people that wants / needs other animals in their life after one passes to make me feel better.

Thank you both for your comment. Even when I say I want to take a leave from them, I know I probably won't, haha. Especially when they are right there when I go to the petstore. I always fall for them. Hamsters really are one of my favorite animals. Being I've always had at least one since I was 5 years old, don't think I'd be able to part from them even if I tried.

I felt like this when Snickers passed, she was the friendliest thing and always wanted to be with me and now I have 4 boys who don't appreciate my cuddles so much.

Cooper is cuddly but very shy so he's not there begging for attention like Snickers did.

I'd love to find another ham like Snickers but it will be hard. -.-

I was kinda thinking this. I don't even know if the next hamster I may decide to get will be more like Buzz or more like Tallinn.

I always enjoy them either way of course, but just thinkin'.
