Just came across this while trying to find info on hamster safe glue

Some people really make me angry!

Help me please! my hamster got hot glue stuck all over her!? - Yahoo! Answers

Seriously, people should be checked on their intelligence level before being allowed a pet

EDIT - OMG! I jsut looked at the other questions asked by the same member and found this

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...1134354AARqXDz

I'm fuming now.

Yeah, well reading through everything, it looks as if the poster was 12-13 at the time it was made, also bear in mind that these posts were made 3 years ago. Lets hope that this person has grown up and more respinsible or is no longer a pet owner.

Its horrible. I hate it that hamsters are always marketed as 'childrens pets'. I mean fair enough but there has to be a responsible adult willing to take charge and be the main carer. It doesn't help that hamsters are so cheap either, people almost treat them like some kind of disposable pet.

I completely agree, and in this case I would say its the parents fault. I mean, a 12-13 year I wouldn't let them even use a hot glue gun with out supervision, because honestly those things get really hot, the glue gets really hot. Back when I was in art school I was working on a project using hot glue, pulling an all nighter, and wasn't watching my one hand and stuck all my fingers on my right hand into a large glob of hot glue, I had terrible burns and scars on my hand to this day from it.

It reminds me of when I took one of my previous hamsters to the vet and it cost me about £40 and people kept saying that I could have bought 4 new hamsters for that.

That's wasn't the point though, I was taking care of the pet I had. People don't say things like that with dogs or cats!
