Should I own another hamster?

It is so sad. But it's also natural and just because they don't live as long as humans or other pets, doesn't make their life less valuable (you could say to your mum maybe). Especially in your care, their life will be full of joy and worth the world! The fact you are upset shows how caring you are. It's more an argument for why you should get another little one As I've heard a lot on this forum.. they leave little pawprints on our heart, no matter how little the paw they make a deep print I love that expression! Glad you've decided to look after another hamham x

i dont think you should give hamsters up because it makes you sad to loose them, in my honest opinion you should give them up when it DOESNT hurt to loose them, if it doesnt hurt to loose them you cant have loved them and they all deserve love

even with my many many animals, most of which come to me with health issues/deformities, and shorter life spans then normal, i still sob like a baby when i loose them, and there have been times when i have lost 5 or more in very close succession.

but the moment it no longer hurts when i loose one, that is the moment i will no longer keep any animal

I think, personally, you should just follow your heart. Theres no rush. No presure.
