She really is! I'm not surprised you're taking lots of photos you must be over the moon with her. I can see she's going to be spoilt already Can't get over that face!

Her face is oh so much like my Pepper's before she lightened up. I love the pictures of her reaching for the lettuce, she is just too adorable. <3

Re: Day Two .. with our new Hammie
I do not know if she will or not, but it is pretty common for any darker colored hamster to lighten with age. Some start lightening sooner than others, though. My own girl lightened up ridiculously fast. As for the fur close to the skin being lighter, that is typical sable fur, just like the rings around her eyes that are lighter colored are a trademark for the coat color. ^^

Nooo nooo, 'Sybil' was a suggestion for you! We have a Nimrod. I'll admit to poking him awake in the morning sunlight on a couple of occasions but his angry ears make it quite clear he's not happy with me.

Will be interesting to watch and see I don't even know how old she is.. the guess was 5-6 weeks.. Is there a way to tell?

Re: Day Two .. with our new Hammie
She's so sweet! I'm no expert, but looking at her and her size, I'd guess more like 8-12 weeks? A breeder might have a more educated guess, but there is no definitive way of knowing.
