I'm back and with new hamsters on the way : )
Hi everyone!
I hope everyone and all the animals are doing well.
I haven't been on the forum for such a long time due to work and college.
During the last few months I have lost my beloved Renesmee, she had a few different things wrong with her and it was kindest to put her to sleep. R.I.P. I have also lost Honey and Suri, my other two syrians. So it has been an extremely hard time for me and I decided not to get any more hamsters. It was a very strange feeling.
So now I have 5 guinea pigs, 5 rabbits and 2 cats, quite a lot of mouths to feed hehe.
Anyway, the pet shop that I work at, currently has winter whites and I am going to get a couple today, I'm soooo excited : )
I have read up on them just so that I know what I am getting myself in to. However I was just wondering if I could call on the experienced winter white owners on the forum to give me some tips that you have come up with over the years?
It's nice to be back.
Lots of love
Hayley xxx

Welcome back, sorry about your losses. xx
Do you know where these hamsters come from? 90% of pet shops do not sell pure Winter Whites, they sell hybrids.
What cage was you planning on buying/using?

Yeah I know where they came from. It's the store that I work at, we have a breeder that was only allowed to bring them to us if they could provide info to say that they were pure winter whites and they did, and they brought in their breeding pair and they were the most gorgeous little hamsters ever : )
They are currently in a 2x2 ft enclosed cage with ventilation on top, until they are big enough to go in to my larger three tier cage.
They are ever so sweet, however I can't tell them apart yet, I shall get a really close look at them later on, as they already like to sit on my hand : ) xxx

hehe congrats, they sound sweet.
I wouldn't recommend putting them in a 3 tier cage, pairs should be in a one level cage only to prevent fights over territory.
What colour are they? x
