have you make a vet appointment?
probably due to poor breeding, there might not be anything a vet can do, how old is he?
agree with souffle, has he got a wheel?

I actually didn't know you could take such a small pet to a vet. I will make one asap. I bought him from a pet shop where I live, so possibly bad breeding. He has a wheel, but doesn't seem to use it...

Your kidding right...? You can take any animal to a vet, doesnt matter what size it is Although I think a vet might be a bit put off if you walked in the door with a tiger...

When I went to the pet store to get my hamster I saw a hamster that was running around in circles and falling and hitting the glass. I was going to buy it but when I went back to the store he was gone. But I am happy I did not get him because someone told me later that he might have had neurological problems. I wonder if he died or if he was sold.

I took my beardie, Pinkie Pie, into a vet I didn't really know for an emergency treatment (It literally couldn't wait XD) and trust me...They had a horrified look on their faces. I think it was mainly because he was displaying very aggressive behaviour (puffing and hissing).

The vet ended up with a mean bite and I do still feel a bit sorry for that vet whenever I walk by there. LOL

Oh damn! 'Although I think a vet might be a bit put off if you walked in the door with a tiger', I can't take mine then :/ Anyway I guess the vet is the only person who will identify the problem.

My Pippy has done this a few times in the past when her problems first became aparent (I know you mentioned to me your Pippy's falls remind you of this) but she doesnt do it as often anymore but I have no idea why it stopped, I think it stopped around the time I started her rehab treatment where she would get 'out time' for 30 minutes 5/6 times a day whenever she showed signs of stress or agression. She couldnt have a wheel because of the danger the plastic posed to her but she had everything cardboard to chew on and distract her as well as a barred cage to climb. I think the distractions and almost constant excersice really helped to stable her out and after about 3/4 months of this she is a changed hamster from what she used to be.

Maybe your Pippy does just need an outlet and distractions, but take him to the vets first like you said thats what I did too and they were able to direct me to someone who had experience with the disorder. Maybe you will be lucky enough to get him some help from experts too
