Well, I started my work experience on the 5th and finish on the 16th. At first I wasn't looking forward to it as I was still gutted about my placement at the vets being cancelled but I've had a great time. The kennels has both boarding animals (while owners are on holiday) and adoption animals that they take in from the RSPCA and NAWT. They also have a rabbit in for boarding at the moment! A little 6 week old kitten came in yesterday after being found in a cardboard box, she found a good foster home straight away but I got to have cuddles with her first! She was gorgeous and so tiny. We should be getting a mother and her 4 week old kittens in for adoption before I leave.
Here's a few pics of some of the animals up for adoption:
Sammy - who is gorgeous!
Bella - who was very boisterous but found a home last week.
Betty - who found a foster home earlier this week.
Bertie - who I adore! This little man climbs the bars so he can be face to face with you.
And the beautiful Casper - who is very small and fluffy, bless him:
A few other favourites who I hope to get pics of are Sky, the blue staffy who's had her ears cropped but is the friendliest little thing. And Alfie who is a giant, fluffy German Shepard but is the soppiest dog you will find. He loves cuddles and running about with his football. I like Robbie too, a tri colour Bordie Collie who will happily chase a ball for hours on end.
