Please help me name my hamster
I rescued a hamster from a grubby pet shop, and called her Matilda, now I don't think she is a Matilda, so can anyone suggest a new name for her please?
This picture is a bit dark, she has really light sort of greyish/creamy colour fur.

Try Matt if you want to continue with the theme. I still like Matilda though, neat name. We name our animals by what my daughter is into at the moment, except Anna the dog was named already when we got her at the pound. We have a Betta named Bert (from Sesame Street) and a hamster named Freddy (from Scooby Doo). I had a cat growing up named Theodore (from Alvin and the Chipmunks). The possibilities are endless. You could go by personality of the hamster. Good luck.

Matilda
What about Basmati (Tilda is a premium rice producer in UK for any of you who think I am crazy!) or Tilda if you think it is masculine enough... have pom-poms become apparent???
He/she is a lovely Light Grey Short-Haired Syrian Hamster I used to be a huge fan of this colour, and bred many Light Grey babies, I still like it a lot but am more into my "selfs", and seeing how this gene affects self colours, such as Sable.

I also like the name "Matilda", but I'm a bit biased as it's the name of one of my piggies. She gets called "Tilly" for short, how about that?
I'm into old-fashioned girl's names at the moment, like Maisie, Dotty or Milly. or how about "Cinders", as she is quite a smokey grey?

I thought when you said you don't think she is a Matilda you meant she was actually a boy... now I see you don't think that particular name fits her Slow today sorry So suggestions for a female Light Grey Syrian Hamster.... Cirrus, Smokie, Whisper...

Thanks everyone!
I have decided to stick with the name Matilda but my daughter calls her Tilda for a nickname.

Matilda / Tilda
She is getting called Tilda (thanks babyboos!) more than Matilda by my daughter, so it is now definitely Matilda but Tilda for short,
We love the name Tilly but that was our rabbits name who died in February.
I got a much better pic of her for my avatar, the colours are exactly right, the one in the first post came out way too dark.
