Default is she or isn't she?

i've recently adopted a little female hamster from a rescue centre. her owner abandoned her when she moved out. the centre told me she was a chinese, but as i already have a chinese i'm pretty sure she's a russian. sasha, as she has been named doesn't have the long tail, and has the trademark russian stripe. if she is a russian, is she a campbell's?

also does anyone know what her colour is? on the adoption form it says she is grey and white but i thought she is brown and white (maybe my eyesight is going )

here's some pics of Sasha:

She is absolutly adoraable. I would say she is a Campbells possily normal colour though it is hard to tell. She is not a Chinese though Great job for adopting a rescue ham. How could anyone not want such a sweetie

I'd say she is a Campbell's, too. She looks quite gray in the photos. Her colour might be "Black eyed Argente." But you said that you think she looks more brown. Black eyed Argente shouldn't have any brown tinge, just pure gray and white. The colour "Opal" is gray, too. The gray fur can have a slight brownish tinge. Those are just possibilities.

i don't know how anybody could abandon her myself, she has a sweet face i really wanted a chinese so i adopted a female from the RSPCA, and i've named her Su-Lin. and while i was there i noticed that the gerbils i saw over 3 months ago where still there so i'm taking them too that brings my total to 14 animals at the minute

she's mainly the colour seen in petstores. i can't decide whether she is brown or grey, i'm awful with colours

She is likely Normal coloured. But, that doesn't make her any less beautiful! She really does look so sweet in the pictures. I have some Campbell's who have nice personalities but look like devils in all the pictures I take of them.

She and all the others you have adopted are lucky to have someone like you who found them!
