Default not to sure if it's the right buy.............

Hi,
just last night I found whats called a "Add-A-Level"! It adds to your hamsters cage I don't know if it's a good buy because it's about $50 and I didn't want to buy it if it wasn't good

Do anyone of you guys have and "Add-A-Level"? If you do is it good.....do the hamsters like it......Does it work?

Ive never heard of it... it sounds like some tank toppers Ive seen that offer more levels, but they can be dangerous. Do you know a link to one of these things your talking about so we can see?

Well it looks quite good to me - but I would think that you have to have the actual cage that it goes with to attach it - or at least a cage of the exact same dimensions. Otherwise how would it fit/attach on?

The other thing to think about is that levels don't necessarily increase the floor space available to the hamster by that much and extra floor space is what they benefit from the most. Also high levels can be dangerous if your hamster can fall the full height of the cage.

I'm not sure what type of cage you have but could you not add another cage or bin to it via tubes (if your hamster will fit them) to give him a lot more space?

Like holly says the platforms are not that big so you would struggle to fit anything much on them really and they don't appear to overlap so if the hamster fell off it could fall a long way and hurt itself. I'd try and expand sideways ito a bin cage if you want more room.
