Default how many in one cage

Hi,

right now I have one Syrian Golden hamster in his own little cage everything is his! But is it OK if I put like two other Syrian hamsters in the cage or will they all fight and basically kill each other? or do I have to go buy a whole other cage ???

Don't, under any circumstances, introduce another Syrian hamster to Theodor's cage - or buy two to live together from the pet shop. You are absolutely right when you ask if they will fight and kill each other - Syrian's MUST be kept by themsleves after about 6-8 weeks of age and must never 'meet' each other. If you want another Syrian you need a separate new cage and equipment.

Dwarf's can, in certain circumstances (ie if they are from the same litter or introduced as babies), be kept together - although it's a lot of hard work to do the right things to minimise the risk of them fighting.

No chance with syrians. They must be kept alone. They will fight to the death. Never try it or even let them near each other Theoror
