Freckle's weird behavior explained

So, last night, Freckle froze up in my hand and leapt out of my hand to the floor. She's NEVER tried to leap out of my hand and is very aware of heights (looks carefully over edges). This scared the hell out of me for a second and I didn't handle her for the rest of the night. Then she ran in her wheel ALL NIGHT like a little madwoman. Also, not typical. She usually goes to sleep around 12 or 1. This morning it was all explained. When I touched her she froze with her wanton little tail in the air. O_O She's all grown up!
