Default Oopsie..

I uploaded the pics of Hammy from my camera to my pc and they didn't save...I've hunted everywhere for them and can't find them anywhere and they're no longer in my camera either..such a shame as there were some really nice shots. So it's back to the drawing board I'm afraid...hopefully I'll be back soon with some pics.

I've spent most of the day on this and I'm stressed out now as I've lost a full memory stick of pics...even the ones of Aidan on Christmas morning and in his school play. I can't believe they've gone.

How do I post pics that are saved in my pc by the way? Do I have to use an image hosting service?

Thanks x

I found them at last...did a full system search and found them lurking in my Egypt folder...despite the fact that I had checked in there and had not filed them in there and had in fact split them up into new named folders as I uploaded them. None of my new folders are there, hence the problem.

I'm off to town now so I'll have a go at uploading them when I get back....if I get stuck I'll let y'all know x

You can upload pics directly off your computer to your profile, but to put them in posts you have to use an image hosting site. We use www.photobucket.com . Register on there and follow the instructions to upload an image. Then, underneath the uploaded image, there will be a box that says URL link. Click in this and it will copy the text. Then, open up the topic or post you want to put the picture in, type . It should end up looking like . Once you post the topic, your image should appear! If your images are too large, a mod may change them into links. You can resize them on photobucket by clicking the edit button above the pic and then clicking resize, but once you resize a pic you can't put it back to its original size! Hope this helps you to post some pics, I can't wait to see Hammy!

Thanks Pophammy, I thought I'd have to do something like that but you've clarified it for me.

I'm just off to sort my files out and then I'll be posting the pics up.

Not long to wait now, promise!

My profile is done now BTW.

Pics are now up, re-sized for forums and message boards...they're a bit on the small side but better to be safe than sorry I reckoned.

It was much easier to find them once I had organised all my files.

Anyway I've posted them in a separate thread.

Hope you all like.
