Default Feeling deflated?

Sorry about this Guys, i havent posted a Thread in AGES. But:
I have been searching through Zooplus and LOVE all the things and want to get my Hamster's some Christmas treats each this Year. But as i already have a Budgie(Bobby,A Tortoise(Clyve),2 Dwarf Hamsters(Salt and Pepper),1 Syrian Hamster(Cherry), and 1 Cat(Milo), And Some Fish. But i dont pay for My Cat or my Fish. But anyways, I really want to buy some prezzies. but is it just me or is it too much to pay the price for these things online? Or do you just browse through the items you dream about buying?
sorry for the pointless rant, i am only 14. Nearly 15. But its just getting me down lately. As my Mum doesnt understand i treats my Animals as Family.. So what are your views of buying Hammies(Animal/Pet) Things online?

I've got lists and lists of things i want to buy online!
It helps to organize what you want (e.g. i'll buy so and so this month, something in december and another thing in january etc.)
Its quite fustrating at this age (i'm the same age as you) when we can't get a proper job even if we want to.
But i got a paperound which gives me a £10 every week for doing it everyday except sunday, now it sounds really small but it really helps to know i have £40 a month to budget between necessities and treating myself and the hammies. Thats all without any money from my parents, which takes a lot of stress off them at this hard time, anthing they give me is a bonus

Just thought it could be something to consider if you don't already have one

tbh, I'd rather spend the money on extra nice food to give mine, or I'd buy them something they could use all year round...like a new wheel
Hamsters are very expensive,
I've spent £250 on my hamsters and I have only had them since... beginning of november maybe?
=/

I bought a cage, accessories, megazorb etc.
Then I bought another cage, accessories etc for the actual hamsters as I was originally going to get them at my house, but instead bought them to live at my boyfriends.
Then I bought a travel/emergency seperation cage...

THEN i found out my little boy was a girl, so had to seperate them, so I had to buy another cage to give the boy as he was in the emergency cage, and I didn't want to disturb the girl too much in case she was pregnant, she now lives with me and is in the FIRST cage

>.<
and then i ordered her a new silent spinner :3...and litter box... >.<;;
I had £300 pounds worth of savings...alllll gone >.<;
because that's not counting little extra things I have bought too >.<

I can't imagine having them without having money...must be horrible.. >.< Because one look in their little faces and you want to give them the world..

I'm as guilty as anyone for ordering stuff online and spending too much, but really it's more for my enjoyment than my hammie! The best present you can give them is love, and that doesnt cost anything! Cheap ideas like Snickersthefirst's homemade "crackers" of paper tissue with a treat inside would be very well received I think - don't feel mean if you can't afford a lot at the moment, your hamster will love you just the same anyway

I was going to say that...all they need is love and cuddles, they already have a lovely home and owner, or you wouldn't be worrying about getting them more
they're lucky hams indeed just to get that. ^.^

(yeah, have spent two long on pet adoption/preloved websites...mean hammy owners there are...and yes. that sentence structure did sound like Yoda >.< )

at least most things are cheaper online and if you search around a lot you'll come to know the average prices for things. Im always on ebay sadly nowadays as i just cant afford most things in the high street. I have become more creative though..i recently cut up some old jeans and made a cube for my rats...they sell around £12 online so that was a nice saving xxx

i look around online and dream what i'd LIKE to get my hammies, but ...i see somethng cute and now think wait, i'd need it X10 lol...because i feel horrible when i feel like i favor just one...so...yeah :-/ i have 'wishlists' on petco and petsmart, but it's very very rare i ever buy off them hehe. just buying food/bedding is pricey enough. but they love their homemade houses, tunnels, tents etc.

four of my baby hamsters are using dishes we already had for their food bowls...five of my hamsters have cardboard kleenex boxes for their houses. they all have tunnels (tp rolls), a few have longer tunnels (poster tubes). most of their treats are like lentils, pumpkin seeds..ppl food...

I dread to think how much I have spent on my hams since I got them - I am not even going to try and work it out as it would probably scare me half to death!!

Too be honest though, most of it isnt 'needed' I just fall into the 'aww isnt that cute' trap and then cant resist and find that in no time at all I have £20 of stuff in my basket!

Essentially though, hams are simple creatures with simple needs and asl ong as they have a nice cage, a warm bed, some food and water, and lots of love they are happy. Dont feel bad that you cant buy them pressies - your love and caring is more than enough for them.

If you want to do something for them you could always try making something as the others have suggested - this can be done for very little money.
