If they dont have the time for one hamster what makes them think that they have the time for another one? This is just rediculous, I think that now may be time for some serious action. You gave them a chance with cookie, but they have blantenlty ignored what you have told them.

Me being a bit balshy would just come out with it and ask them why they have got another one when they admitted that they didnt really have time for cookie and that were bored with her, and I would ask why they have put her back in that pathetic excuse for a cage!! But thats just me! My mum always says that I 'fly in where angles fear to tread!'

I agree with hope! Id ask for your cage and cookie..they obviously aware the rotostak is crap or they would have put the newbie in.i personally think their relationship with cookie is damaged and now in need 2 be rescued and hope they rectify the problems with new hammy now they have more knowledge.

Smashing the useless cage to bits sounds like a good idea! (with no hammy in it ofcourse) I don't understand people who can't care for one animal but still decide to get another. Is the new ham a baby? If so then surely the smaller cage is better for it until it gets to adult size and they can get a new one..

Thats a very good point Dora! Why did they not put the newbie in the rotastck instead of moving poor cookie?? -Because they must know its not as good,so 'oh we will put old cookie in there and give the nice big cage to the cute little baby ham . . . . .mmmm grr!
