I just have to work out a water bottle attachment.. im not a great diy'er.

I swear by self adhesive velcro. Solder/melt a hole in the side where you want the water bottle and then put of bit of velcro on the box and the other bit on the bottle - hey presto!! Or if you didnt want to make a hole, you could do the smae but have the bottle insdie the cage.
