I have just had the most amazing hour playing with my hamster( sorry my son's hamster but i have fallen in love with him!) We have had him now for approx 5 weeks and he is now 9 weeks old. Over the past two weeks I have been training him in the bathtub and he has definitely become more tame. However tonight whilst I had him in his bin cage he was especially friendly and I felt that he wanted me to interact with him. Evertime I put my hand into the bin cage he immediately came to my hand and got onto it. He then allowed me to let him tunnel through my hands for quite a while. He stayed on my arm and then sat there happily whilst I stroked him. To top it all at the end of playtime I normally have to put him back into the cage using a long paper towel roll, however he let me carry him in my hands. He never ceases to amze me. xxx
Its the best feeling ever, i don't know why a little thing like a hamster can cause so much emotion but i think hamsters have a little magic in them...
