Default Can't wait!!!!

I finally persuaded my mum to let me get the little WW from the P@H adoption centre. I'm kinda worried he might already have been rehomed though. The store opened on Friday and we saw the little guy on Saturday, seeing as it's a new store I'm guessing they are selling a bit of stock. I really hope he's there as I have my heart set on getting him. I'm gonna buy him a mini duna cage and lots of toys out of my birthday money - he's an early present.

What do you reccomend I do if he isn't still there? Shall I wait for another dwarf to become up for adoption or should I buy a normal WW from the pet section?

Aww, might be a bit of a stretch that hes still there but if hes an older hammy you never know! I hope you get him. If not then I'd personally still get a normal WW as they use the 'Adoption Centre' for their left over stock that have started fighting with siblings or cannot be housed with new litters. The hamster are mostly hamster orginally sold by P@H so they are really getting double the money for one hamster - the first sale, then the second when the owner returns them for whatever reason. I guess its nice to adopt an unwanted pet but I dont think that P@H have any trouble finding homes for them.

I think he was originally in a tank with his siblings and began to fight as he had a little scar on his face but it didn't deter me as he was soo sweet. Obviously I will be upset if he's not there but I would like to help an adoption hammy if I can.

I'm also open to name suggestions. I like the names; Oscar, Stitch, Spike, Rhino, Monty and Gizmo. Might wait till after I get to know him before naming him but I need ideas!

Thanks, Mark! x

Are there any toys you'd reccomend? I want everything to be perfect but I've never owned a dwarf.

when I owned a dwarf they liked little burrows that they could chew on (meant to be edible) and if the cage is in your room you might wanna get a silent spinner as it is quieter then most wheels

Thanks guys.

I'll try the burrow idea and I think the cage comes with a savic rolly wheel, I'll see how it goes and if it's squeaky I'll get him a new one for christmas.
