Default Age/growth question

Do hammies stop growing at a certain age, and is there potential for them to have a growth spurt later on at around a year old?

The reason I ask is, when I got Daisy she was tiny...really small boned and skinny. She was already a year old so I assumed that is how she would stay.

Now though, she's huge! she has really grown and is at least the size that Little Mo was. She also weighs around 180g. The weight is not all around her middle, her overall structure seems to be bigger - like her bones and length have grown.

Is it just because she was getting excercise and a good diet so she's added bulk maybe?

It may just be the excercise because 180g is a good weight. Where did you get her from as she could be younger than a year?

Most hamsters are normally fully grown at 6 months but I guess it can vary.

I got her from a family who didnt want her any more - they said she was about a year old.

She was living in a tiny starter cage without a working wheel so did nothing - i wonder if its because she has alot of excersise now which has built up her muscles

Was just caurious cause really thought she'd stay tiny

Ah, it could just be the lack of exercise she had before and now it's increased so has her muscle mass.

I think the good diet and lots of good care would help
