I think we're coming to an understanding...
Do any of you think your hammies understand specific words? I have wondered if Popcorn understands me saying "Does Popcorn want a treat?" because he seems to pay extra attention, looks a bit excited, and sniffs in the air in anticipation, however, it could have been that he could smell the treats before I open the box??? Anyway, I decided to test him out last night, we had our playtime in the bath, and after a while, he started getting settled in his tissue box, ready for a nap. He kept scuffling about inside, and peeking out of the "door" every once in a while, so, with no treat box around, I said "Popcorn, do you want a treat?" and he looked right at me, and came trotting out of the box, looking around and sniffing!!!! I think he deffo knows the word "treat". Spoiled? I think so

so cute!
Daisy knows her name too, as I can be standing over her cage talking, and she'll only come out of her bed when I say 'Daisy'

Ha ha, maybe he thinks his name is "Treat" - we certainly seem to have a clever lot on HC

Aww. Mine know their names. If I say 'are you hungry?' they start running around (plus the guinea pigs squeak loads!). Then if I say 'cuddle' they climb up their toys and wait til I pick them up.
