Default Rotherham Show ~ at LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did it!!!!!! I won Junior BIS!!!!!! :P

And here she is, our champion hamster ~ its BAILEY!!!! She won her satin class then went on to win me Junior BIS and actually came reserve BIS overall from quite a good entry! I am really pleased with all my hammys but first I'll show you Bails posing with her trophy!

As you know Bailey won satin and got Junior BIS, I also won 1st in cream, 4th in golden, 2nd in LH cream, 2nd in grand challenge, 1st, 3rd and 4th in Junior and 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Intermediate, so I really did have a great day! BIS Syrian went to Flattop's lovely golden female, and BIS Dwarf went to T2, BOS to Nooboo, and Junior Dwarf to Red Devil hams. Congrats to them all! It was a really enjoyable show with lots of things to do and see. There was some GINORMOUS vegetables in the horticultural tent and a pumpkin about 2ft in diameter grown by a 9yr old! The leaks were like tree trunks and the onions the size of a person's head! Here are some pics of the show:

Going home!

Ham in a box! (only the best hamsters travel in a Sainsburys' bag! )

I have never seen an odd eyed hammy at a show Minicooper though I have seen them on occasion on forums. They are not very common though. I am not sure how they would be judged at a show as each colour has its own correct eye colour. I will ask one of the judges for you next time

It was VERY busy racinghamster. There was a continues stream of people filing pass the pens all oooing and ahhing and saying how big the hammies were as show hams are always bigger than pet shop hams. It was such a lovely day so the whole event was very busy. 32 hamsters were sold on the day too The strewards had their job cut out to stop little fingers being pushed through bars and the hammies just slept away like little balls of fluff. They are way too cool!
