Oh yay Im glad you worked it out! If your talking about making an avatar you do this by going to you "my hamster central" then click on "Change my account settings" and then scroll down to the bottom and you should see the area in which you need to upload the avatar image. The image size must be 80x80 pixels. If your not sure what that means then just send me the image you want to use and ill upload it for you

I always say to people who have a new rodent that patience reaps rewards. I did`nt even attempt to handle Scooby for two weeks when he arrived from rescue, but just spoke to him and let him sniff my hand. Offered him a few sunflower seeds by hand, which he gladly took! Two weeks later and he was clambering to get out and be with me. He`s such a wee darling.

Also, the best way to get a hamster out of the cage and onto your knee, or onto a play area, is to use a chube tube. That way, the hamster is transferred from cage to play area without being handled to begin with and does`nt scare them. It does`nt take long before you can ditch the chube tube and use your hands to `cup` the hamster up gently, with the hamster facing you. If they still seem a little wary, carry on using the chube tube until they are settled and trust you.

That's good advice... I don't want to scare Fuzee Fi so have been just talking to her and letting have a smell of my hands. She is a little jumpy but soon hopefully will start to feel happy. She looks so little but seems to be eating and drinking alright.. :-)

When we started getting conker use to us we used a basket for her to climb out into - so no grabbing hands were coming at her in any way. She always comes into the basket even now and knows that the basket means out time. I use it even at the vet cos she trusts that method.... If conker doesn't want to come out she tends to look at the basket and then turn her head away - no confusion there then....

May do something similiar with Fuzee Fi - that way they always have choice about coming out and no its safe :D
