if you want a hamster experienced hamster sitter you probably have to accept to drive a longer way. i am in glasgow and had to go to babyboos' place in edinburgh.

the easier option would be to get neighbours and family members/ friends to look after the hammie while you are away...especially if it is only for 4 days...

in general i personally dont trust people who i dont know...so i would always pay more money and/or drive a longer way to get a hamster sitter i can trust. i really wanted somebody from this forum coz i know you guys love hamsters as much as i do

If you possibly can I would tend to leave the hamster either at home or with family or friends you trust for such a short period of time. It is less stress for the animal and even if it is not handled for 4 days and just fed and water it will be just fine.
Pophammy does hamster holiday care and charges 5 per week and this includes food, bedding etc plus tame and stay if they need taming as well. I think the furthest people come is about 25 miles maybe. We don't do it for profit and any money is put back into the hamstery or given to an animal charity.
If you can avoid places like kennels and catteries it is usually best as these tend to just shove hammies in the staff room and don't specialise in rodent care.
Always ensure the sitter has 24hr access to a hamster experienced vet. We do not hesitate to see a vet with a hamster that appears ill at any time and we ensure the owner knows that this will be charged to them.

The shelter is in morningside if you're anywhere near. (Paws Here) I'm local too obviously and would do it for free but I know you're not looking for offers!

Thanks everyone you're all so nice and i've had a lot of nice friendly offers, thank you.

I think i might try to contact Babyboos and Pawshere (thanksAnnie81 and HorseyHolly ) They both seem to be respectable and caring people for my lovely hammy. By the way there are so many scottish people on this site i never realised before, go scotland!

P.S Hoping to get some good pics of louie up on the site soon. Yay!

Bye bye and thank-you : )
