Unhappy HELP ME! Smudge Has Escaped :(

Hey guys

I am so upset... Smudge has chewed a hole in is new bin cage just big enough for him to get through.

He isn't in his cage or anywhere in my room, my door was open last night, so he must of got out D:

I have two cats and 3 dogs, and my loft is having some work done so there is lots of fluffy insulation and open holes. i am really doubtful

I don't know what to do! i feel so stupid, i should of just kept him in the Cambridge, then non of this would of happened its all my fault!

HELP ME! i don't know what to do

Oh Mark I am so sorry, you must be so worried. I know I was panic stricken when I lost Phoebe and that was only for a few minutes.

All I can suggest is bucket traps, lay food out, and search, behind sofas, in the sofa, they like to be in small enclosed dark spaces. But you know all of that anyway. All you can do is keep searching. He may come out if everything is quite and dark. Look for signs of poo, food along walls and in corners.

I really hope that you find him Dnot blame yourself though, you were just trying to do what was best for him, he could have seriously injured himself if he kept up that bar chewing - when you find him (not going to say if, as we have to think positive) its a glass tank for him I think!

aw Mark - i know how you feel one of myhams escaped and i have 3 cats in the house, but he was found nice and safe and im sure smudge will too.

Do what Hope said to di, even though you know all this already and just keep looking!
get everyone in the house to look for him - this way he will be found faster.

Forgot to add: keep a close eye on the cats and dogs as if smudge is near them they will give you the clues, but not leaving the area or but starring at it!

Keep searching, he will turn up I'm sure, shut the cats and dogs out if you can and ask your family to help look. He will be snuggled up somewhere!

I am so sorry you must be going through hell - But he WILL turn up safe and sound.. I lost my hamster a few years ago, and the dog was scratching at the area he was in! Check all gaps/holes you may have to remove panels if you think he could be in there for example Squeak had got through a gap next to the washing machine and was under the sink cupboard!! I'd start from your room and check all round it, then concentrate on the areas closest to it and work your way round...

Fingers crossed for you!!

I know you'll find him!!

I lost Dewey for nearly 5 whole days. I had almost completely given up, when I realized that there was a big hole of missing carpet in my closet.... He had moved in behind my book shelf and I hadn't bothered to check my closet :O

Just take a moment in each room of your house and stay silent and try to hear him moving around. Also put food in each room and shut the doors and see which pile has missing food later.

good luck!!

As I suggested on MAH you need to get Stella down on the floor in her cage. Even lay a little trail of her bedding to her cage. Very few boys can resist a female scent and he will come to her if he is able. Be sure to watch over her at get up time and it is all the better if she is in season.
