I understand how you are finding it hard, let the tears come if they need to though. Smudge had a big impact on all of us here and will be missed greatly. I agree that a collage is a nice idea. I have a plant for the furbabies that I have lost with a ribbon tied on it for each one.

i am so so sorry for your loss

It is such a shame, but unfortunately some hamsters can not be contained, but now he can run free forever. Please dont blame yourself, these things happen sometimes.

I am sure he knows how much you miss him.

Very sorry to hear such a sad end to this story...I guess there are certain animals that will always be determined to go their own way despite our best efforts. Enjoy making your memorial, there have been some lovely suggestions posted here and I'm sure you will make a really good job xxx

Oh Mark Im sooo sorry to hear of your loss, please dont blame yourself you are a wonderful father to all your hammies, this may have just been how it was meant to be, sometimes loved ones are taken from us for no explanable reason. He will be up there now with all my passed hammies, I will ask them to take care of poor smudge, and make sure he has a wondeful time at the bridge.

I've only just discovered this threat and I just wanted to post my condolences. I'm really sorry you had to go through this but please don't ever doubt the decisions you made for her. They were all done well, thought out and for her best intentions.
