Ebay Rant!!

I have just bought Dexter a second hand Duna Fun Cage to connect to his current one for £20.00 off Ebay. what a Bargin i thought as it cost £45 new. The seller said there were a few cracks in the plastic but nothing that would effect the security of the cage.
It has just arrived and i cant believe the state of it. There is still sawdust in the bottom on the cage where the hamster had weeded and needed a really good clean. The Tubes have never been cleaned and were all chewed, Clips are missing to put the cage together and a ladder is missing. I am so Angry

No way was this worth £20.00.

Oh no! Its so annoying when this happens, if you paid via paypal you should be able to claim the money back, the cage isnt fit for purpose without the clips and certainly DOES effect the security of the cage.

It seems that some people dont really do a through clean, me and Amethyst went halves on some second hand puzzle playground and that was all pee stained, needed a good soak (I left it overnight!) to get it off, scrubbed up ok though! But yours without the clips and ladder isnt much good really

ohh thats awful really try to get in touch with them :S
without the ladder should be okay but yeah definilty leave it to soak, hmm doesnt sound like their hamster had much of a life...

I know, poor thing passed away in the summer and they now have 3 guniea pigs. Poor things. My husband has just had another look at it and he is not happy. The ball is cracked and cant be used. And where the clips go the plastic is cracked so it is a un usable cage. I have just emailed the seller and explained i am not happy and i have been miss sold an item. I also didnt notice they had selected that they will not except a return on this item so think i am going to have a battle on my hands.

ohh thats awful :L did you check their feedback (and how much...) ? i hate these people their really cheeky - you should be able to return it as its not what the description says :L

Yeah, I agree. It's not as described - at all ,so you should be allowed a refund.

You may not be able to get the money back from the seller, by pay pal should be able to refund you - my mum does a lot of selling and buying on ebay and I know that she has done this in the past, not sure how you would go about it but I can find out if you like?

i wish my mum was hooked to ebay herself so she wouldnt get so narked at me buying on there every second of the day...

They had one negative response about someone never got there item but that could of been Royal Mails fault. I also emailed the buyer to ask about the cage and they said it was a usable cage. Will wait and see, it they dont get back to me then i will be opening a dispute with them and hopefully get my money back. When we were bidding someone else came in and bidded but never above the amount we had put down. My husband thought then that it is most probably one of there friends bidding to up the price.
