Ideas on making a cage more natural?
Ok, milo is in a large wire cage, its not massive but it does him well and he gets play time and all that - so i dont have loads of space for stuff, and i dont have much money to spend, but i want to know how to make his cage more natural? Im getting some of those logs with the hooks to replace his ladders, im planning on making a tube coming out of his house so its more like a burrow, anybody else got ideas? I already scatter his food as well (:

Re: Ideas on making a cage more natural?
Maybe bury some tubes in bedding, use children's playsand in a small section of the cage and use wooden toys?
Sand is quite cheap, especially now it's getting colder.
Hope this helps.

Re: Ideas on making a cage more natural?
Hmm... well if theres a cheap tank near you that does definitly make the whole thing more natural - But its not really needed...
Try treats like flax, dari etc aswell they look good in cages...and taste nice
i think yeah, a corner of cage say in shapse of triangle roughly like outlined with pebbles separateing it from the woodshavings always looks stunning
goodluck - hehe yeah i'm trying to make mine like wooden decorated lol too

Also, people have made like caves and hidey-holes from non-toxic clay. So maybe that would be fun if you had the time?

Same, it's the cheapest 'toy' Snickers has yet it's her favourite. :/ haha
Mind you she does love hammocks - she has 3 now, although that's not very natural?

Re: Ideas on making a cage more natural?
Any toys with holes are natural as I guess in the wild they would nest underground?
