Re: Ideas on making a cage more natural?
my hams also love buried tubes
have you looked at trixie toys? they're made of wood and look great in cages some can be a bit on the expensive side but you can get small ones pretty cheap

For the hammock, you could make one out of string/rope?

Re: Ideas on making a cage more natural?
I gave mine in some sand tonight and they see to love it. I would imagine fruit tree branches would be pretty natural too. Could spend a fortune on the wooden houses and toys. Have been looking at them tonight and making up a very small wishlist.......

Haha digging towers take up most of my wishlist atm XD
i dont see why you cant go to the woods and get some small branches (instead of them expensive reptile brances) ? obviously disinfect, but i think it would be fine

Re: Ideas on making a cage more natural?
That would only work if you knew which trees were which though and you knew all the safe wood types. Plus anything could have touched them. :/

Re: Ideas on making a cage more natural?
mmm . . . they could have has insectisides sprayed on them or anything Would be a bit of a risk. . . do you know anyone with fruit trees?? Apples, plums etc, those would be ok, but I would give them a bake in the oven first just ot kill any nasties off before giving it to the hams.
