Default over the top?

My oh has just told me that Darla's cage is over the top (how very dare he), let me explain Darla is never happy in anything but an Imac fantasy, Shes really too big for one with the little tubes etc so I tried her in a furplast Mary, a hamster heaven and even a fop cricetto Ted. Darla was not amused one bit by any of these and promptly went on hunger strike, so she was popped back in her beloved Imac, so then I started the process of extending it, the trouble is I forgot to stop, I was just placing level number No 8 onto the cage after cleaning it and my oh came in and started taking the mickey (he was waffling about rodents taking over the house or something, not sure what because I switched off), so I thought if I came on here and spoke to other hamterholics you would agree that unless the cage actually touches the roof then it isnt over the top is it.

It wasnt baught as one cage and Ive had some bargains off ebay (she says trying to convince herself she isnt a cage addict), Ive got a three level one for the little dwarf ham but she only uses the bottom level now (she had a stroke) so I was tempted to add hers and pop her into the spare furplast Mary but I think an 11 level one might be pushing it .
