Default Oh Carefresh..

It should impress your parents that you are doing so much research. Don't bug them about it constantly it will only make them annoyed

Ya, i'm trying not to bug them too much but it's hard. i gave them a big presentation about the life my hamster will have, like wat his cage will be like, and where it will go when i am on vaction and everything i have learned. They were quite impressed. Now i just have to wait. You wouldn't know how hard it is to not bug them too much about hamsters. Because i want to tell them all this stuff that i have learned and stuff ! But i'm still waiting...

I just use to bug my mother until she finally got so sick and tired of hearing me whine about wanting whatever pet I wanted until she finally said yes

My very favorite time I convinced my mother when I was a bit older. I was in a mall and found this budgie I wanted who’s wing was broken in shipment and was in a cage alone. I needed her to come down and tell the storeowner I had permission to buy it... I told her that of she came down to the mall I would by her Cinna-bons if she let me have the bird... And she said yes It was so easy

She just wanted those Cinna-bons :P

I’m telling you... the best time to hit up favors from parents, particularly the mother figure is when she’s on her menstrual cycle and will be craving sweets and things like that, then strike a deal.

Candace LOL! You're cracking me up! You were WICKED! Love it. I was just as bad! I just begged and begged till they were sick of me whining! Worked for me. I used to make little cardboard pretend cages, fill them with shavings, a little house and food bowl... put it on my bookshelves just so they would see it every time they came in my room! Until I actually had one I just pretended to have one! (I was only 10!) They saw how crazy I was for wanting one so they ended up giving in! Things we'll do......

Ha ha!! little carboard cage, how cute lol...

I never did that, but when I had my gerbils I use to take cardboard and literally make villages and turn the carboard into buildings and let them run through it. Some were made to be like malls that were huge with multiple levels and I even made a elevator and elevator shaft with cardboad and it would go up and down from a string I attached that would allow me to work the elevator lol

Oh.. those were the good old days :P

That sounds so cute ! With my parents if I was to keep bugging them and whining they'd never let me have a hamster ! So I'm fine just waiting, gives me a long time to make an awesome bin cage ! :P

LOL oh my gosh, I don't know which of us was worse! I used to love makeing things out of cardboard though!

When I was little, I was lucky that the school I went to also allowed pets. as it was also a boarding school. (although I was just a day boarder, left at 6pm) We had a pet room downstairs in the basement of the school and all sorts were down there, mostly rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters - small pets, that we were allowed to keep there. I kept my one hamster there. Well, during the day we would take our hamsters (poor things, wake them up !) but we'd take them into class with us. We put them inside our desks, remember the old school desks that opened up? Well they would go in there. I'd have bedding in mine, with some food - along with my school books, and occasionaly during the day you would hear "nibble nibble". Teacher soon heard it, or heard us giggling, and came looking LOL! It happened so often though, we'd take them out and carry them around in our bags and they'd sleep in our desks during the day!!! Honesly. Could you imagine that now? It was very hard not to play with them while you were supposed to be listening to the teacher! Oh the fun... yes those were definately the good old days! Gosh we could start a whole thread on this topic!
