Default Meet Ginger, AKA Spud!

I am looking after Ginger for the holidays, He is my school's hamster and is also known as Spud, because my friend said he looked like a potato on legs! He is about a year old and has 'Cage Rage'! He is fine when you get him out but it's the actual getting him out which is the problem! He is behaving himself well, (as he hasn't bitten anyone yet!) and is enjoying all the attention and treats as he doesn't get so much fo that at school Here are some pics of him!

Spud when my camera had a trip to school!

Spud now!

Have you had Spud all summer or is he shared between a couple of pupils during the holidays?

He definitely has exellent conditions at school. He is checked, fed and watered every day and I clean him out fully every Friday lunchtime. On Mondays we have a 'hamster club' where we look at all types of animals and sometimes we have a visit from a pet! Last term we had a cake sale where we raised £50 which we split between the PDSA and Ginger. We took a trip into town and bought him all sorts of new things for his cage. What I meant was that he doesn't get as much individual attention from one person at school.
Yes Babyboos, I have had him all summer. Last term someone else took him for the hols. He is actually owned by the teacher who runs hamster club as her daughter goes to my school but I think they were going away during the holidays.

Why not ask your science or biology teacher if you can start one up minicooper. I am sure they would be very pleased to have someone show such interest and initiative. Even though Pophammy's club is called the hamster club they look into care of all small pet animals and also environmental issues and animal rescue etc.

Cute hamster PH, thanks for sharing pictures! Still love that "potato on legs" thing lol

I had to edit your post because one of the images was far to large. I changed the image link to a url link. Please be more conscious of this in the future. If you have any large images please make them url links instead. Thanks

I know one of my pics was large but I couldn't work out how to give a link to it without people being able to access my photobucket account. Thanks for resizing it and sorry!
