Post Dwarf Hamster treats

Hello all,

I am currently in the process of taming my winter white hybrid dwarf Milo.
He is doing great and he is already coming onto my hands and taking the food. The next step is to pick him up which i will be trying soon. I have only had him for about a week and a half and he has been making good progress ,i honestly thought it would take months for him to get this far.
Anyways i have been currently using sunflower seeds throughout the process of taming as treats. I was just wondering if there are any other good treats to use for him as i don稚 want him to get bored and i think it would be good to add some more treats.
I知 also wondering about feeding, i知 starting to introduce veggies and fruits but i知 not sure if i should give them to him daily or every 2-3 days. My current plan is to give him a couple of spoons of his food mix every 2-3 days (fill up when it is gone to prevent picky eating) and then in between those days give him fruits a veggies.
He is quite a picky eater as most of the treats i have brought him he doesn稚 like and he just loves sunflower seeds aha.

I've never owned a dwarf, but my syrian loves these:

- Rolled oats, (raw)
- Flax seeds
- Peanuts
- Walnuts
- Pumpkin seeds
- Raisins

Sometimes I also mix flour and water, then add some of these things in, wait for it to dry and harden, and he loves those too.

Dried mealworms are a firm favourite with my dwarfs. Pumpkin seeds are polular too or simply pick up something from the food mix.
Feeding and opinions on feeding vary. I give mine a small scoop daily and chuck out what's not been eaten after a couple of days and give them a new scoop.
Fruit i avoid altogether because dwarfs are prone to diabetes but they get a small amount of veg daily. Kale, cucumber, pepper, herbs, romaine lettuce etc.
They also get a little scrambled egg now and again. One tiny dwarf has been caught climbing into my cereal bowl to snatch a cheerio or shreddie.

Ill definitely look into those things, with the walnuts do you get them shelled?

Im thinking about giving him a scoop every other day and in between give him veggies. The things he has liked are carrots and cucumber, I've tried scrambled egg, strawberries and apples and he has shown no interest. Im still figuring out what he likes and maybe he will like these in the future.

No, I just get shelled and break them up. Whole walnuts would work too, where I am they're just hard to find, so I just use shelled.
