Default Perhaps a silly question

I tried searching and didn't find what I was looking for.

How exactly do you soak the hard nutri-block foods to soften them? Every time I try, they disintegrate on the outside and stay hard on the inside. I feel like I shouldn't have to ask this but I'm stumped

I don’t know the exact blocks you use but I think some soak & make a mush better than others that may end up with more wet bits rather than a mush!
Do you use warm water or cold? I think warm works better, if the inside is still hard you could probably add more water & leave them longer or if they’re big enough break them up a bit or grind them in a pestle & mortar to make them easier to soak.
