Default I’m looking for a fiber supplement for my hamster’s diet.

I’m getting my first hamster in a few days. I’ve done quite a-bit of research and feel pretty prepared. I understand that finding a hamster diet is difficult because there is no one store brand. Ive found a mix of “DwarfHamsterDream Basic” and “Harlan Teklad 8640” using this calculator https://onedrive.live.com/embed?cid=...deHeaders=True
With a 60/40 mix I have a decent diet. However, my fiber percent is concerningly low. I was wondering if anyone knows a way I can add more fiber into my hamster’s diet. Whether that is another seed mix or pellet, some vegetable or grocery food or to re-evaluate my food brands altogether. Any advice helps!

Regardless of your calculations you can't govern what your hamster eats from the mix so I wouldn't be too concerned about the fibre content. If those foods are balanced complete diets and you are giving addition fresh fruit and veg and your hamster seems well and thriving there is no need to worry.

You shouldn't need toadd extra fibre with the bunny dream mix, you could end up giving too much, small amounts of fresh veg will be plenty to bump it up a bit if need be.

By adding a pellet you are making the mix much more processed and unnatural, I think you’d be better off just adding extra protein through either dried chicken pieces (if you have access to zooplus, it’s called thrive cat treats) or dried mealworms. The type of protein depends on what your hamster likes, just add 2/3 mealworms or small bits of dried chicken for each tablespoon of food. Veggies such as broccoli, romaine lettuce, cucumber etc fed every other day will boost the fibre.

You can give some dried veggies. I dry zucchini for my hamster.
