Question Rodipet alternatives for dwarf

Palladium, my younger ww hybrid has never been overly enthused about the rodipet mix but is getting increasingly picky about what he will eat and is leaving more of his mix uneaten. I know rodipet is a good mix, so I don't want to put him on something that is inferior quality, but I'm not sure what the best option is. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I found the same actually but although they seem to leave a lot you’d be surprised how much is eaten and hoarded. Dwarf hamsters like the little seeds so maybe be eating more of those. As long as he’s healthy and doing fine I shouldn’t worry and you can supplement with fresh treats now and then - a tiny bit of fresh veg each day and the odd but or a few sunflower seeds.

I actually mixed the Rodipet one with the bunny dream dwarf hamster 50/50. It’s a nice mix and balances out the Rodipet ingredients.

It seems to be the smallest seeds he's leaving; millet possibly but I'm not certain that I'm identifying them correctly...

The bunny dream mix was one I was looking at as an alternative, is it best used in combination?

I find mine tend to leave some of the millet in my mix & when I initially made it with some of the tiny seeds like grass seeds & some of the other really small seeds that are in the rodipet mix they never ate those, it might be worth trying the bunny mix but to be honest I think a ham that’s picky with the rodipet mix is unlikely to be impressed! If you do decide to try it just add a little of the new food in with the Rodipet one & gradually increase the amount if he likes it over. period of a couple of weeks.
There are other German mixes from Mixerama & Getzoo which are good to but they are also quite similar to the Rodipet one & delivery costs are much higher so there isn’t much of an alternative.
As Serendipity said he may be eating enough of the mix even though he seems to leave quite a bit, is his wieght ok? If it is you may not need to worry.

Thanks for the advice; I'll keep an eye on his weight, but he's been fine so far.
He likes seed sprays, so I'll see if he prefers millet like that; he wouldn't be the first obtuse hamster I've had lol It's reassuring to know that what he's leaving seems to be a fairly normal thing to be ignored. I guess I'm just used to hoover hams that hoover up everything and then still act like they're being starved :P
