Question Hamsters and hay

Hi all

So I have 2 rabbits alongside my little Russian dwarf hammy named Bella.
My rabbits have meadow grass, essentially dried grass and I was wondering if Bella would be ok to eat any of this.
I have read that hamsters can eat hay but I’m still unclear whether she would be ok to have the same as my bunna boys.

For clarification, the rabbits and Bella don’t share a living area but it was just out of curiosity if she would enjoy the hay or not.

They don’t need hay like rabbits and guinea pigs do but some of mine seem to enjoy it... most of mine seem to use it to make a nest but I have known a few of mine to eat it occasionally too.

It should be fine to use the same hay as your rabbits but you’ll need to check it to remove any sharp pieces that may injure a hamster’s cheek pouches.

Hay is not a necessary part of a hamsters diet. If they eat it it is ok but it's not really food for them if that makes sense. I mix some in with my paper bedding to hold burrows better but mine doesn't eat it.

Same here. Not for eating, but to make tunnels sturdier.
