I wouldn’t give dog food to a hamster. Even if the ingredients were okay, their quantity will not, as dogs and hamsters have very different nutritional needs.

I only meant a very occasional small biscuit from time to time as I have read they can be given to hamsters to help wear down their teeth. I just wondered as my dog has a high quality insect based dry food whether one small biscuit would be ok or not.

I wouldn't consider vague insects to be "high quality". Also, just to be sure you're aware maize(aka corn) in a dog food isn't good for dogs. Corn/maize is fine for hamsters, but dogs don't digest it very well if at all.

As an occasional treat, maybe one tiny piece a week, yes, I would give it to my hamster after researching each individual ingredients. Most seem safe, but some I would want to check.
